Product information

Aged dry red wine.

Origin (production area): Only the Kallmeti area, no more than 5 km from the winery, in Kallmet, Lezha. Exclusively from the vineyards of the area called “CRU”.

Grapes: 100% Kallmet, which is an ancient native Albanian variety grown in the area of origin and widespread mainly in the regions of Lezha and Scutari. The average yield in the Kallmeti vineyards intended for this wine does not exceed 50 quintals/ha. The harvest is done later, when the grapes are overripe and have just started to crumple on the vine.

Tradition: The differentiation of red wine into two versions: "Basic" and "Prestige" was not applied from the beginning; it was unified product. This differentiation began in 2010 at the Kallmeti winery, noting the superior characteristics of the grapes produced in some vineyards in the sandy soil of Kallmeti.

Oenological consultancy: Offered by SEA (Associated Oenological Studio), Italy. The grapes are harvested by hand in the over-ripe phase and are selected very carefully. This wine is matured for 12 months in stainless steel containers, then for 12 months in French oak barrels and 12 months in the bottle before being released on the market.

Organoleptic characteristics: It presents itself in a blood red, expressed and diversified, dominated by fresh aromas typical of the varietal, quite tannic, full-bodied and balanced. Distinguish the pleasant features of overripeness and the emergence of the second and third smells. Depending on the year of production, the alcohol content varies from 14-15% Vol.

Somelier's advice: It pairs well with ham appetizers, pasta with minced meat, baked red meats and mushroom-based dishes. Recommended serving temperature: 16 - 18°C.
