Pulëz Rroshnik 2018 by UKA Winery is a very rare and exceptional Albanian white wine, produced from Pulëz grape variety originating from the area of Berat and more specifically from the homonymous village Roshnik, considered to be the oldest zone of origin of this particular grape. It is situated in a forest at 600 meters above sea level, where for decades, the grapes grew freely and were mainly consumed by the wild boars who preferred them as their favorite snack. The Pulëz vines grew in the wild, climbing trees before locals began harvesting them, giving this wine an extraordinary natural heritage.
Aromas and Flavor Profile
Pulëz Rroshnik 2018 has an intensive gold color with a very lively and fresh flavor profile of white fruits. Its structure impresses to age well, developing more and more complexity over the years. The perfect balance between the fruitiness and acidity makes the wine perfect with light dishes.
Production method
Pulëz grapes are hand-picked from a small forest vineyard. After picking, the transport of these grapes is carried out in 20kg boxes under cold conditions to preserve their freshness. After pressing, the grapes ferment at controlled temperatures for 12-15 days; then, battonage for 1 month and for 1 year natural precipitation in inox tanks. After filtering, bottling takes place so that the wine comes out absolutely pure and clean.
Food Pairing
Pulëz Roshnik 2018 is outstanding with fish and seafood, along with pasta courses. The versatility of this wine is going to make it a great choice to pair with a wide range of dishes coming from the Mediterranean diet. This wine should be served at 12°C because its freshness and delicate flavors will go well with many lighter courses of food.
Limited Production
