    Enjoy the real taste of Albania with our organic extra-virgin Kallmeti Premium olive oil. This is extra virgin olive oil produced exclusively by organic olives grown in the Kallmet region and the surrounding villages, with hundreds of years of tradition and craftsmanship in Albanian oil production.

    Origin: An Authentic Oil from the Heart of Albania

    Our olive oil olives hail from Kallmet and the villages within less than 30 km from our winery. This proximity ensures freshness and quality on every drop. The Kallmet area is a very well-known place of high quality olive production due to its special microclimate and soil fertility.

    Variety of olives: The Best of the Albanian Native Olives 

    Our oil is comprised of 70% olives of the Kallmet variety, a pearl of Albanian biodiversity, and 30% of other native varieties. This combination ensures a harmony of flavors and a fine aroma, purely representative of the best of the Albanian olive-growing tradition.

    Tradition: A Heritage of Generations 

    The families of Kallmet practice from generation to generation the cultivation of olive trees with traditional and environmentally friendly methods. This tradition comes together in each bottle of Kallmeti Premium, tying centuries of experience into a commitment to quality. Olives are handpicked between October and November to retain the best freshness.

    Production method: Cold Pressing for an Incomparable Taste

    The olives, soon after being picked, are taken to our oil mill for cold processing using the Pegasso 500 method, which is a modern centrifugal separation system. The entire process from cultivation and production enables the nutritional and organoleptic properties of olives to be preserved, which retains the characteristic green color and robust flavor in our organic extra virgin olive oil.

    Kallmeti Premium comes in a bright green color with a fresh olive fruity aroma. The taste is balanced with a slight spiciness, perfect for dressing salads, grilled vegetables, fish, and other varieties of Mediterranean dishes. Every batch of oil is controlled in ISUV's laboratory to guarantee the maximum quality and purity.

    About the producer

    “Kallmeti” L.t.d, is established in 2006. This is a family business created by three shareholder brothers from Kallmet village. Main activities are the production and trade of three products: Wine, Raki (Albanian grape distillate), and Olive oil. The first year of activity is produced only 5000 liters of wine. Since the first year of activity the production capacity has been increased by about 20-30 % every year until 2019 and afterwards keeping somehow a constant level. The quality of products has been continuously improved, thanks to the professional Italian enological expertise, provided by Enological Group laded by Prof. Luigi Costantini. The grape cultivar is Kallmet, an ancient Albanian cultivar originated in the village with the same name. This grape variety is cultivated in two regions, Lezhe and Shkodra (Albania northwest). The olive cultivar is Kallmet, an ancient Albanian cultivar originated in the village with the same name. This olive variety is cultivated mainly in Kallmet village, and surronding villagesin of Lezha region (Albania northwest). All olive trees of this variety are old. A part of this olive variety there is used about 40 % even other international cultivars: Lecino, Frantoio (italian) and Arbequino (spanish). There are about 2500 olive trees of all above mentioned varieties owned by Kallmeti L.t.d. In Kallmet village there are more than 20000 olive trees in total Kallmeti winery is owning about 10 hectars of vineyards in Kallmet village, but also is buying Kallmet grape from more than 50 small local winegrowers from Kallmet and also surrounding villages.
