Flavor and Aroma Profile
This extra virgin olive oil has a bright light green color and is of medium fruitiness. Distinct aromas of crisp green apple, fresh cut grass, and a delicate undertone hint of almond complement each other. Well-balanced, the flavor exudes moderate bitterness that follows through with soft spiciness, housing a delicious fusion of flavors brought forth by mature fruits, herbs, and garden-fresh vegetables. A delicate herbaceous quality lingers on the palate, this is a very versatile and full-of-flavor oil for any meal.
Production Method
Hand-picked olives from the Kalinjot variety, native to Albania's southern regions, are cold-pressed with care in our own mill to maintain their health benefits. Grown in the hills of Skrofotina, Cerkovina, and Trevllazer near Valona, this oil sums up the richness of the terroir of this region. In full cooperation with the Albanian Association of Organic Agriculture, we make sure every bottle is representative of a perfect standard of organic farming.
International Recognition
To date, MUSAI Olive Oil has collected over 14 gold medals, proof of its excellence. Among them are the multiple awards from Italy's BIOL International Competition and New York's NYIOOC.
