Shesh i Zi 2021 from Alimani Winery pays homage to the native Albanian variety that originates from the locations of Çizmeli hills, Durrës. This is with regard to a very strict choosing stage and controlled fermentation method, the wine depicts the best of Albania, which guarantees a distinct and elegant feel.
Grape Variety and Territory
This wine is produced by using selected and hand harvested Shesh i Zi grapes from only the best wine yards located on the low hills of Durrës city. Due to the great sun exposure and the mineral rich and fertile land, it is such a wine that has generous and intricate fragrance.
Production Method
Grapes are handpicked, and the fermentation usually happens in stainless steel tanks for around 15 days, where the temperature is regulated to protect the varietal characteristics of the grapes for the best. This balance of elegance and structure was also achieved in the finished wine.
Organoleptic Characteristics
The Shesh i Zi 2021 has a deep ruby red wine. It promises lovely aromas and flavors of fresh and ripe red fruits. It has a creamy soft and round mouth feel with nicely integrated tannins and a long and subtle finish.
Food pairings and serving temperature
Excellent with roasted meats, game meats and mature dairy products. This wine should be served at a temperature of 18-20°C.
