Description
Pamid Rozë 2020 is a light and elegant Albanian wine made from the Pamid grape, a native variety traditionally grown in the Pogradec region near Lake Ohrid. This grape, with its distinctive red skin, can produce both rosé and white wines. Caco Winery has embraced this local variety to create a rosé wine that reflects the fresh and lively qualities of the region.
Aromas and flavor profile
Pamid Rozë is known for its varied aromas, combining delicate notes of red fruits, such as raspberries and strawberries, with refreshing acidity. On the palate it is light, fresh and persistent, offering a well-balanced and pleasantly persistent finish. The natural freshness of the wine makes it a perfect companion for light dishes or as an aperitif.
Production method
Pamid grapes are grown in vineyards near the Basilica of Lin, a historic area that benefits from the refreshing influences of Lake Ohrid. With a limited production of only 2,000 bottles, this wine faithfully reflects the region's commitment to maintaining the authenticity of Albanian wine. The vineyard yield is around 12-13 quintals per hectare, ensuring high-quality and flavorful grapes.
Pairing suggestions and serving temperature
The 2020 Pamid Rozë pairs wonderfully with light salads, seafood and appetizers, making it an ideal choice for summer gatherings or informal meals. It is best served chilled, around 10°C, to enhance its refreshing qualities.
