Varietal and terroir
Produced from the vineyards of Golemas Kavajë, Papaz 2017 embodies the rich winemaking tradition. Even its name is taken from a small pudding mini-lagoon located right next to the vineyard and immediately shows the close relationship between the wine and its terroir. The prized Kabjuro grape variety combines with Bordeaux to create a wine with a unique and distinctive character.
Method of production
Meticulously produced by Belba Winery, this 2017 Papaz was aged in oak barrels, to which it lends elegance and depth. The winemaking process enhances the balance between acidity, young tannins and aromatic intensity, transforming it into a complex and well-structured wine.
Organoleptic characteristics.
Papaz 2017 stands out for its elegant aromas of violets, cinnamon, black currant leaves, blackberry and toasty oak. Intense on the palate, this is a wine of ripe blackberry and plum flavors; lively acidity cuts through, along with well-defined tannins. The finish is long and evidences attention to detail and dedication to its production.
