Outstanding Albanian wine, it is perfect for special occasions
The Uka ceruja has a well balanced acidity and mineral flavor, with a very unusual aftertaste. It won't go with all the usual white wine dishes, but would add interest to a whitefish or other lighter flavored fare. I'm sorry to see that Me Zemer is sold out of the 2018. I hope they offer later vintages.
This wine is a super intense red, made with an unusual technique of drying a fraction of the grapes before pressing and fermentation. It makes for a luscious deep flavor and smooth mouth feel. Save this to go with your juiciest steak.
