    Description

Shesh i Zi Kavaljon 2017 from Cantina Belba is born on the gentle slopes of Kavajë, a region highly renowned for its exceptional wines. Produced from the Golemas vineyards, this Albanian native red wine represents the peak of the region’s winemaking craft, with an aromatic profile that captivates the senses.

    Grape Variety and Terroir

Shesh i Zi Kavaljon comes from the ancient native grape Shesh i Zi, cultivated in the Golemas vineyards of Kavajë. Cantina Belba, with deep roots in Albanian soil, captures the essence of this grape and translates it into a full-bodied, complex wine that expresses the unique terroir of the area.

    Production Method

This wine is the result of careful fermentation and extended aging of 36 months in French oak barrels, which imparts richness and elegance. Prolonged maceration allows Shesh i Zi Kavaljon to develop an original flavor profile with a perfect balance of alcohol, acidity, and tannins.

    Organoleptic Characteristics

With an intense ruby color, Shesh i Zi Kavaljon delivers rich aromas of dark cherries, wild berries, and floral nuances. On the palate, this full-bodied wine is structured and persistent, with soft tannins that linger in a long, pleasant finish. With 14.5% alcohol, it is ideal for special occasions.

    Awards and Recognition

In 2020, Shesh i Zi Kavaljon received the Gold Medal at the Balkans International Wine Competition & Festival in recognition of its outstanding quality and aromatic profile.

    Pairing and Serving Temperature

Excellent with red meat dishes, roasts, game, or aged cheeses. It is recommended to serve between 16 and 18°C to fully enhance the wine’s complexity.
